Membership in NALS

Over 100 laboratory schools are associated with colleges and universities worldwide. The faculty members of these schools are scholars, master teachers, and researchers involved in early childhood, elementary, secondary and higher education. Laboratory schools are innovative in their approach to educational reform. These member schools are also different in that each operates according to the needs of the institution at which it resides.

Laboratory schools have a commitment to educate children and educate prospective teachers. A direct result is the children in laboratory schools receive an outstanding education from top scholar/ practitioners who are master teachers. Our association's commitment is to provide support, collaboration, and encouragement for those seeking solutions to education issues. This includes supporting the exploration of significant ideas, innovative practices and programs; providing forums for discussion of educational issues and implementation of innovative ideas and communication between and among schools, universities and professional organizations.

AS A MEMBER … you will be eligible to attend and/or submit proposals for presentations at the annual and regional conferences, receive NALS Newsletters, Journals, Monographs, and its outstanding Annual Conference and be eligible for grants.

Individual Fees
Individual fees are $60.00 per year.  If your institution is not a member of NALS, the individual membership fee is $75.00

Individual Faculty Membership:

• As an Individual Faculty Member whose institution is a NALS member is entitled to a reduction in membership dues of $60.00 instead of the normal $75.00.
• If your school is not an Institutional Member, then the Individual Dues are $75.00.
• Membership in NALS runs from September to August each year.

Institutional Membership:

• Institutions may become a member of NALS by filling out the Institutional Membership Form.
• The fees for each institution is predicated on the enrollment of your school (see the dues structure below).
• Institutional membership allows your faculty to become a member for $60.00 each instead of the normal $75.00. Only those who are members of NALS may take advantage of the conferences, grant opportunities and publications.
• This membership also includes individual membership for the Director of the school and for The Dean.
• Your Institution will receive the NALS Journal and Newsletter publications for your library.
